1. Christmas in NYC...what a beautiful sight. The streets in Little Italy, the windows on 5th Avenue and Macy's beautiful interactive windows, Rockefeller Center with its huge tree and iceskating rink. Countless places to go and see. Nothing can beat the feeling and excitement in the streets.
2. The movies in Bryant Park in the summertime. It's so great to watch a movie with thousands of people, outside, in the middle of Manhattan with the gorgeous skyline twinkling all around.
3. Serendipity...worth the wait. A New York institution. Lots of fun, albeit tacky, stuff about, great desserts. Yay frozen hot chocolate! Go to Henri Bendel's first...a perfect day!
4. Late night restaurants and clubs. I love that places are open late. I love the nighttime! Not sure how I got up early when I was teaching.
5. MOMA. I love the way the letters look outside of the museum. When you walk up the street and see the building, it's a great feeling.
6. The skyline when you come into NYC. I look forward to seeing the lights on the Empire State Building and how they change each night depending on season, holiday, event or whatever.
